Under-eye Skin Quality and Hollowing: Different Concerns
Originally shared on Instagram on 20 July 2025.
The hashtags of this Star Aesthetics reel mention both under-eye filler and polynucleotides. These terms should not be treated as interchangeable. A consultation should first establish whether the concern relates to skin quality, pigmentation, shadows, hollowing or another issue.
Identify the concern before discussing a product
The under-eye area is delicate, and several factors can influence its appearance. Explain what you notice, whether it changes during the day, and what treatments or skincare you have tried. Ask your practitioner which factors are relevant and whether aesthetic treatment is appropriate.
Different products have different intended uses and evidence. A hashtag cannot establish which product was used in a clip or whether it would suit you. This article does not infer a product or technique from the media.
Ask about limits and risks
Discuss previous procedures, health history, allergies and potential complications. Ask about swelling, bruising, recovery, review arrangements and alternatives. An under-eye concern should not be approached as a standard injection plan.
